• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-622 Lighting Question

A few weeks ago we purchased a used 2010 RT-622 trailer, no body had the hitch kit available!
Today the Hitch & wiring harness was finally installed on our 2011 RT.
Are the lights on the trailer supposed to match the bike?
I was expecting amber turn signals since it was on the trailer already!
But I get combination tail stop & turn.
So much for the matching trailer!!
What must be done to correct this?
Is it a bike issue or trailer issue?

I'm afraid you cannot correct or change it readily. The original trailer and trailer modules had matching lights. Those trailer modules were 6-wire, and so is your 2010 RT-622. During 2011 the trailer modules were changed to provide only 4-wire output. The 2011 and later trailers are only wired for 4-wire, correspondingly. A 2010 trailer will work with the later trailer modules, but only with combined turn/brake lights...as you have discovered. Without 5-wire or 6-wire output from the Spyder, you cannot get separate turn signals.

Edit: Timing is everything. :)

Thanks

Thanks for the info!
I was told all the RT-622's were the same! Don't believe all you hear!
So I should spend more time on the advanced search, the first time found nothing!
At least I don't have any issues then!!!
