There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RSS Highway Footpeg Mounting Brackets (Koolmetal)

I have them on my 2008 RS and have been very happy with them. Kewlmetal says they fit all models, but it is worth a phone call to confirm.

I put them on my 2010RS,they are "Bulletproof"!!! Beautiful mount and the install is a piece of cake.Matt walked me through it over the phone.

A lot depends on your inseam. The Kewlmetal brackets work well for fairly short to medium inseams, 30 inches or so. ESI has a mount that fits a little farther forward and puts the pegs a little farther out that will take care of the longer legged people. Either one is fairly easy to install.

I have the Kewlmetal ones. When I want a little more stretch, I rest my heels on top of the peg.

Highway Bracket

can you get extensions to move pegs forward ? Im 6'1". Can somone post a pic of their peg so I have an idea where your feet would go ? :doorag:

Are the Pegs Stable?

When looking at my plastics, I do not feel the pegs would be Stable. (Forget that, I read the setup.. Looks good. :> )

I would LOVE to get Extended pegs for my RSS. My Knees ache after a long ride on the stock setup.

I decided to go with the Highway peg brakets from ESI. Hope I can get them installed. I have givi saddle bags so I am not sure how to get mounting hardware off to remove lower black panels on each side. Prob end up taking it to dealer. :banghead:

:hun: you should only have to remove the lower panel ( the ones that have the Rotax 990 sticker, each side). Plus the two panels on the bottom, which I then left off for more air flow.

These don't look like they would give you much leg room. It says 12" which is basicly moving your heel to where your toe is. :dontknow: ESI is a good choice for you and your height. Don't worry about the install. You can do it.

In order for me too remove lower black panel, I have to remove the rear green panel. But to do that these saddlebag mounts need to come off. Anyone tell me how?

Both the Kewlmetal and ESI brackets are quality parts.

The kewlmetal seem to hold a lot more weight if that matters.

ESI are forward and down from where the kewlmetal brackets are, so they're good for longer legs. There are times that even my super short inseam would like them further forward. I think the ESI ones also give more options for locations if you really like to stretch out.

The Kewlmetal ones are back enough that you can brake with your heel if you want to do that. Takes a lot of getting used to.

Regardless of which you get, highway pegs are fantastic for longer trips.

How do you remove the brackets in order to remove pannels? I have a wrench that fits the bolts and it is a triangle shape bit. Do you just give them a turn and remove? Need these brackets off to remove rear pannels. Help please:pray:

Said hell with dealer installing highway brackets, took saddle bag hardware and panels off. Install was a success. Love the new pegs. Pics to come. :D
