• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Routing USB power out of rear trunk 2012 RTL

I have USB power inside the trunk, just using an adapter.

Is anyone using USB power outside the trunk? How did you get the cable outside? I'd prefer to avoid cutting if I can help it.

just make tiny notch, just big enough for the cord to lay in at the top of the trunk, then run the cable down through the hinge slot and under the seat. OR, buy a USB cord from Spyderpops and power it from your battery. Then its live all the time...

Thanks for the ideas. I'm not going forward with it. It will be for a rear camera.
So it needs to go out the back.

Also, I just noticed a hole for another antenna...

I ran a USB cord from my 2020 RTL trunk to the passenger seat for my wife. When we go on trips her phone never dies so she can talk to friends all day. I took off the back supprt seat so I could run the USB cable up through the top case. I taped the end to a wire hanger. I did have to drill a hole to pull the cable through the case but it is inside the closed case.

I cut a notch near the top & where there is little to no chance of rain getting in as the lip of the trunk lid comes down so far. Then just tuck the wire/s along fairing panels to the front so they emerge where needed.
