• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rough Friday Night

Ow! I bet your wife was so mad she could have finished you off with the chain saw!

not so much mad, as worried. She has been nothing short of a god-send since the whole ordeal. I most definitely married the right woman, and I intend to make sure she is reminded of that fact every day.

Just sayin'...........

:2thumbs: Which reminded me of a joke...
When asked to explain the difference between, "completed", and "finished", a wise man answered:
"When a man marries the right woman; he is completed...
If he marries the wrong woman; he is finished.
And if the right woman catches him with the wrong woman, he is COMPLETELY finished!" :yikes:

First, glad you're mostly OK and it wasn't much, much worse. Second, I don't know if your wife is on SL but hats off to you for building her up that way whether she sees it or not. Good to see.

Sad news..!!

really sorry to hear of your unfortunate encounter with that immovable object. Do hope you have a quick recovery and a big thanks to your wife for jumping in like that. Know you are both going make it fine...all the best..!!

On Friday night I was cutting down some trees on a friends property when I was attacked by a 14 foot piece of a dead one. After being air lifted to University Hospital I spent the evening getting 14 stitches in the right side of my scalp, 12 at the base of my left thumb, and 8 on my left middle finger. I have a huge contusion and bruising down the right side of my head, but luckily there are no broken bones or bleeders in my brain. Now I look like Frankenstein's monster with a huge hematoma above my right ear, a purple right eye that was completely swollen shut (until this morning), and blood everywhere. I lost a lot of blood, and I am still very weak, but I am home now. I am currently re-evaluating a lot of the things I do in my life and tree cutting has gone to the bottom of the list. My wife has been amazing through all of this. She has been by my side and taking care of me every step of the way, as well as the house and the kids. I know she is exhausted but she doesn't let it show. Hopefully I will be back to work soon, but until then I will be prowling the sight. So Everyone please keep me busy so I can keep my mind of the pain.
Wow.....Hope you feel better very soon! Will keep you and your family in prayer.

and 8 on my left middle finger.

Please tell me that you were not flashing that finger at the tree prior to the altercation!!!
:yikes:

(Just a little humor to help brighten your day)

CHAINSAWS - Most dangerous tool to use, or so it seems. Hope you heal quickly. Will make for some good stories over a beer in the future.

I feel for you, after falling of my roof (ladder actually never made it to the roof!!) last year and hitting my head on the eves, my wife just let me back up last week although under her watchful eye! Hope you have a speedy recovery with as little pain as possible.
