Purchased my '14 RTS late in the game (Apr 2015). Seems that it too was fitted with tires from the batch of bad ones BRP was replacing in '14. Symptoms are the same. In my case, when I let go of the bars, the Spyder tends to drift right until I swap the wheels to the opposite sides. Then it tends to drift left.
(Jacob at Lamonster Garage did the alignment in June. Left was off just over 1/2 inch. Right was off 3/8. Both left and right were pointing left.)
My Spyder has passed the magic date so BRP refuses to replace 'em even "in good faith" although they know there was a problem.
Or maybe the tires aren't from the bad batch. Could it be with nearly 800 +/- miles of uneven wear, ie: scrubbing the right edge of both of 'em thanks to the misalignment, that that is what I'm experiencing?
Question now is what to do. Short of replacing them I've considered mounting the tires to the opposite wheels so they still rotate in the correct direction just to see what effect, if any, that would have. In spite of not being able to channel water away correctly, should I find myself in that situation, I've also considered running them backwards at least for the time being.
I'd like to hear what the Spyder community has to say!
