There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Roaddog went over to the Dark Side

HDX and Roaddog are on their way home from a shopping spree. Roaddog got a new TriGlide. Trading in his Roadglide & Spyder for it. All I know so far - I didn't go but they just called me.

It's the balance of the Ying and the Yang! Someone has to take the dark side so we can be on the good side!

Roaddog, why they mount the front wheels in the back? :dontknow::roflblack:

That's cool! :doorag:

Currently owning several Harley's myself, I can't say he's on the "dark side" he's just traveling a different road.

He's still on three wheels though, so it's all good! :2thumbs:

Tell him to post some pics soon!

My Black will be in Monday swap from a dealer in Lamonster MA (lesminister):ani29:I could of had a red sun gloe today at no extra charge 700 option nice but not black it took 5 hours to make deal :ani29:The :spyder:has been allot of fun when its running and acting right :ani29:I like to travel and feel you need a good dealer network and parts availability when out of state:ani29:I would end up in jail if I was on a road trip and had to wait a week for a new coolant bottle :gaah:To me :gaah:BRP has not done a good job stepping up to the plate :ani29: I'm really gone to miss my Glide though do not think I'm ready to give up 2 wheels:ani29: I hope everyone on here does not have the problems I have had with my :spyder:will have some good parts after I strip it on here :ani29:Did very well with glide trade took a bath on :spyder::doorag: will continue to visit sight on a regular basis  Thanks for all the fun Mike

No one loves Harleys more than I do, and I am not usually inclined to defend BRP, but it is a little unfair to compare BRP to Harley-Davidson. Harley-Davidson is a giant corporation with enormous financial resources and a customer base many times larger than all other motorcycles combined (in this country). Harley has been selling motorcycles for more than 100 years and for the most part uses an exclusive dealer network (no other motorcycles).

BRP, and especially Spyder, is tiny in comparison. Spyder production for the entire year would be equal to just a few days of Harley production. BRP just doesn't have the financial resources to play on the same field with Harley, and it doesn't have any where near the experience in motorcycle production and quality control. BRP doesn't have the huge parts distribution capabilities Harely has. This said, it could do a lot better in parts distribution than it has been doing.

BRP brought a new product to market at the most inopportune time. Soon after the Spyder's introduction, the international financial system took a nose dive and we entered a serious recession. Unemployed workers don't buy new motorcycles. Even Harley is hurting now. BRP is also saddled with some very serious safety issues.

An improving economy will help both Harley and BRP. If BRP succeeds in overcoming the steering disease, and with the new RT model, they should do a lot better. This should allow them to focus on improving the parts distribution system and some of the other irritating shortcomings. BRP is short on the learning curve and Harley is long on the learning curve.

Yup the economy is very tough right now. I'm hanging onto what I got but hopefully in a year I can upgrade - to what - I don't know yet - another RS or a TriGlide - not sure. I hope everything straightens out - I'd like it to go back to the way it was that's for sure!

Yeah, Harley is in BIG financial trouble now...it's not certain they'll make it out...as it is, they cut the Buell line...it might move north and be bought by BRP or someone, perhaps? They already use a Rotax engine, so anything is possible...can you imagine Buell becoming a BRP product?? Interesting...

As far as the cruisers go, HD needs a nice economic recovery as people are not trading in and moving up like they used to...it is very easy now to get great deals on a HD...a person I work with just got the newest, oh, what was it...the Electra Glide Ultra Limited...special edition, or something like that...was like 28k, I think he said...he traded in his 3 year old ultra for it...got a great deal...said that they will do almost anything to move new product...he's an old-time HD guy and is really happy with his new bike...can't wait to see it!

Yeah great buys everywhere. Even greater when you have all the cash to buy but it's not easy when financing comes into play - harder to get now.

but for people that have the money banked then it's great!

i am seriously considering this exact model in black rather than RT.
i will be waiting to hear from you with riding impression, especially cornering compared to spyder.
i've sat on it and it is comfy as sitting on a nice couch.
