• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Put the word out on this forum that you would like to borrow a 2013 RT and do your research. How is RIVCO going to publish installation directions if you've never installed them on a Spyder? They either fit or they don't. :dontknow:

We're not talking about a $9 cup holder. This is a $400 specialized part. Do you really want 40 people buying your floorboards, mess around in the garage with them to try and get them to fit and then sending them back because it's not right or their frustrated with the lack of instructions. I have a certain level of expectation that something I order has been tested for my year and model before it's offered, especially a $400 part.

Amen, brother. Too often the solution from the vendor is just buy this and if it doesn't fit, you can return it with a lot of hassle.
 
Cara and I have PM'ed with each other and all is well.

I have ordered a set of their floorboards and I can't wait to get them and install them. I already have highway pegs so the other aftermarket floorboards didn't fit my application.

I found RIVCO very responsive and look forward to more great products from them. two:thumbup::thumbup:
 
I've been trying to make my mind up for two years on which boards were going to go on my RTS. I saw the Rivco boards at Americade and I'll tell you they are very well made. They are solid, very nice finish and I love the idea of the board being rubber mounted. I spoke to Cara about providing matching boards or at least replacement rubber for the rear boards also. I think it would be much more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I will be purchasing these boards and will update everyone once they are installed.
 
Got a notification from Rivco today that the shipping label has been cut. Per their e-mail however, UPS did not have them in their hands yet. I hope to see them in a couple of days.

I got my floorboards this PM. They are on. They look good, excellent quality, good instructions and feel good. They will take some getting used to but, my initial reaction is that they are a good accessory. As an aside, I found out the real problem I was having with setting my cruse control. There is a rubber bump stop that keeps the brake lever from hitting the side panel when the brake pedal is released. It is too thick and does not always allow the brake lights to turn off. A friend told me that my lights were flashing on and off a lot. The bump stop was the problem. I cut the thickness in half and the problem is solved.

I road tested my floorboards for about 180 miles today. They were a great improvement over the stock pegs. The install was fairly easy and the fit was perfect. Again, a very good accessory. :yes:

I have now put about 500 miles on my Spyder since I installed them. They are far and away the best of the few mods I have made to date. I can now ride many more miles without stopping than I could before. I still start to ache after several miles but, it is about twice as far as before.
