• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Rivco Floor Board question

Does anyone have the Rivco floor boards on any of the RS's. without the Heal Toe shifter? I drive an 08 RS

Just want to make sure if I really do need it or not. I see the board takes place of the foot peg and now there is some distance of travel to shift up and down, but if its not that big of a deal, I won't bother...

Thanks
Rich

I put these on my 08 and didn't like them. They have a small peg to put your feet on to shift but I didn't like that either because I didn't want the heal toe shifter. I used to drag the boards when I went into the drive way, garage and loading up onto my trailer. Some people may like them but I didn't like where they put my feet. Good luck

I LOVE MINE

I have a 2008 GS SE5 with the Rivco boards I like them I have never dragged
them on driveways they are comfortable for me I am 6'2"

I have these boards as well and like them a lot. They place my feet in a lower and more comfortable position than some of the competitors boards. They are also very solid. I did change out the footpegs that came with them for Kuryakyn harley pegs.

IMHO the Rivco boards were very well priced and provided excellent comfort for me on my 2008 RS. I had a SE5 so I cannot comment about the shifter lever. I did not install the little mini pegs that came with them as I didn't even use the stock pegs ever. I had them ziptied back and I only used my highway pegs up until I got the RIVCO boards.
