• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed 4 inch risers today, took about 30 minutes, only got to ride for 10 minutes but really made a huge difference.

Wow, you must be a whiz at that stuff. I've considered doing it myself, but was afraid I'd get stuck in the middle of the process and would be out of commission for the duration.... Did you install the heli-risers? What was the hardest part of the install?

Glad to hear that someone did this, I keep looking at them and they all say that installing them will not effect the cables, and that makes me real nervous. What "risers" ...product name...did you use? Jeff in Des Moines, Iowa

I got mine at ESI. The directions are real easy. The hardest part my husband had to do was cutting the handle bars. Make sure you get steal cutters when cutting the handlebars not the ones for copper. If you have a grinder or a hacksaw you can cut it with that too. If you want to do it yourself and not sure after reading the instructions pull up the thread from Blinc He has a video doing his. It took my husband about an hour. It is well worth it. Makes a much better ride. You will need mirror extensions on or you will be looking at your hands. ESI has those too. If you are looking for a windsheild, www.madstad.com has some and they are very easy to put on, I love mine. Hope this helps CJ

Just got my ESI risers in the mail today. The instructions seem pretty straight forward!! I also printed off Lamontsters' thread--more pictures on it than the actual instructions. Going to make the attempt after dinner tonight.... Wish me luck!!!!! :2thumbs::2thumbs:

BTW, I took apart my Honda 750 and installed all kinds of upgrades on it (including lights!!). The Spyder is quite a bit more "closed in" so I'm feeling a little intimidated.... :yikes: I'll figure it out. If not, I'll post here to get someone's attention!!!! LOL!!!!
