• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Right side storage compartment cover damage

Has anyone had so called sun damage to their storage compartment cover? I got my 2016 RT back from shop with these dents on the top storage compartment cover. They told me it was sun damage which makes no since to me, due to the fact it is going to be in the sun and heat ( I think it looks like someone leaned/sat on it). The dealership won't correct issue nor will BRP due it it being out of warranty for 10 months. I personally feel if they are going to call this sun damage then it should be repaired as a defect in their product. I have never had any of our cars, trucks, motorcycles or outdoor recreational vehicles warp to the sun. Has anyone else had this kind of issue?

Other than the fact that your Spyder appears to be black that might absorb more heat than lighter colors, BRP's excuse has the aroma of road apples.

I'm calling BS on that one. I had a black 2015 RTL that was parking in the sun routinely while I was at work. Never had damage like that. It does look like heat damage though. Is there any reason that they might have been using a heat gun near it?

:agree::lecturef_smilie: your bike should have been properly protected while at the shop. :dontknow: surprise they didn’t try & say the lil dragon on grab bars did it:roflblack: find pics from before it went there & show the supposed sun damage after. Something happened & they trying to evade :barf:

Certain types of windows with low e glass can act as a magnifying glass and concentrate the sun so much that objects nearby can be overheated.Ive seen this happen many times in housing developments that have those windows and it melts the vinyl siding on their neighbors house. In 82 I put a tiny windshield on my brand new Suzuki and drove it to California.Parked in front of motel in Arizona and came out in the morning and found my gauge cluster was all warped and melted looking. That shield was at just the right angle to melt the dash.I bet they parked your bike near a window with low e glass.Good luck
