• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Riding Year Round Near Chicago

I am having a few issues, I am living at a travel trailer park near Chicago, my ride to work is about 23 miles, I am riding the 2012 Limited RT, I have to park outside with no protection from the elements....Riding out to work @ 3:00 am and not getting home until after 5:00 pm, I built a passifier to go into my key slot, and now the key freezes up in the middle of the night...the slot freezes up while key is not in it...I am going to start putting a heat light on ignition switch at night, but thinking about just putting a hand warmer on it while at work...
The brakes keep making some type of clanking noise, like the ER brake keeps trying to set while driving....

You are aware the Spyder handles like crap in the snow and ice, aren't you? Good luck!

will a cheap cover help with your issues.. ?? Maybe a light lube will help too..

I haven't seen any Spyder riders in the area as of late..

i was going to suggest a cover too, just blocking wind should help a lot. If the temp drops ridiculously low as a cheap solution you could try an electric blanket or heating pad, underneath the waterproof cover of course.

My Honda Nighthawk sat outside in the cold. Even with the cover, rust locked the disk brakes over time. So I suggest storing it.
