There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Riding season officially ends tomorrow

The weather guessers are saying 3-6" of snow here, so that means an overkill of road salt. So, that wraps it up for us til spring. It was a fun first summer on the Spyder. Got about 5600 miles on just doing day trips mostly. Had one trip of 1000 miles. Can't wait til spring...LOL
Looking forward to winter though. Can't wait to get out grooming snowmobile trails:clap:

Not Riding Here Either

It's not that we'll be getting snow as you are, but the temperature is to drop into the twenties tonight and stay cold here all weekend. Next week isn't going to be warm enough for me to ride so I just went ahead and added the Sta-Bil to my full tank of gas and hooked up my Shumacher Battery Companion. If I get a salt-free day of 50 degrees or above I can quickly get out for a ride any time. Once in a while we get a freak warm day here in the Winter.

Once or twice a month, I'm hoping for. Then a quick ride up and down the freeway to keep everything circulating and charged.
I thinking about taking up x-country skiing this winter. Anybody else?

The end of the season... :yikes:

Larry, Yuck I'm ready to go to Florida with Rod. Rod planning on spending a couple of months down in Florida so hopefully I can get down there and visit him. My next trip is March 16 Spyders in the Bayou. I put my Spyder to bed for the winner yesterday and today getting the snow equipment ready.

This is my first year with a bike, my Spyder RTS, so that is what it feels like eh? Just to add a little Canadian to the mix. I have only had it since last August and put on about 4,000 miles. But the winter will afford me the time to make some modifications that I want to do.

:roflblack:

Had the bike out last week. But that looks like it may be it for me. :yikes: Tom :spyder:

Uh huh

So can we. We don't have the blast furnace heat of the desert, or the horrible humidity of Florida. Just mid 80s to mid 90s, no humidity, no smog, no giant bugs that could carry off small children, and you can ride in the Sierras, the foothills, the farmland back roads, and maybe the best of all Highway 1 all along the Pacific Coast!

As a person who lives in a pretty rural area... how is the traffic out there??
I can often ride for 10 miles in any direction, and count the number of other vehicles on just one hand. nojoke

Sorry to hear..!!

This is the time I feel for you all the most...been there and indoor projects (farkeling, modding, etc) though fun still don't end till your back out there to see how they work and look...:banghead: hope its a short and mild one...

All of California is not like LA or The Bay Area. We live in the Capitol region around Sacramento. In 5 minutes I am in farmland, or on the river road running on the levee along the Sacramento River. In 20 minutes I am in the Sierra Foothills, and in 45 I am in the height country. Ocean is about an hour and a half, but great Ryde getting there. We will have a few more cars on some of these roads, but we wouldn't call it traffic.

Thanks for clearing up a serious misconception on my part...
Having never been further West than Springfield, Missouri; I had absolutely no idea what the "Left Coast" was all about.nojoke

Well

You know we don't have all of these people in California just because they like to pay Taxes:roflblack:! The weather is phenominal, the scenery unbelievable, and you could live in a town just as rural as where you live now! You owe it to the Missus to bring her out here. I fact if you don't want to Ryde all the way out here, we have a friend that rents Spyders so you could pick one up and go for a Ryde!
