• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rides Curtailed For Summer?

Well, I thought I was going to be able to ride a litte more this summer but conditions are now not conducive at this time. I live in the Treasure Valley of Idaho and the temperature is getting in the 100's. I thought I would be able to take off in the early morning and get back before it gets too hot for me. But it seems that the now heavy smoke from the fires in Oregon drops down to the valley floor in the cool of the evening and remains until the temperature goes up. I walked outside this AM and you could smell and see the smoke on the ground. Oh, well maybe in the Fall, or hopefully they'll have success in battling the fires. We have dodged a bullet here, so far, and have had no major fires in the State.

Muscle up sailor, you most likely saw worst conditions off the coast of Vietnam, including AO brought aboard in the water they distilled for use on the ship.

Yeah, but that was 60+ years ago and my old body can't handle it anymore.
Also, water tasted like avgas in the early 60's and jp5 in the late 60's.
I have a friend that spent am year on a Coast Guard 82' cutter in VN. We the CG had 26 of them there. I was construction/first year crew at the Loran C master station in Sattahip Thailand.
