• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I know when i rode my Wing there was a book that listed folks by state that where willing to help other riders. i don't know if such a thing has been started here but if anyone is traveling thru Vermont and needs help. I'm here.
I have a 7x14 enclosed trailer with a ramp. My bike easily goes up in her.

So if anyone has the misfortune of needing help in Vermont my name is Horse and my number is 802-488-0606.......

Thanks for the post. You never know when your in need of help when things go wrong. Where in Vermont are you located? I live in Fairfax. I stopped in at the Country Pantry Restaurant this past Saturday for breakfast, and seen another rider there with a red Spyder. Was that you by any chance? Just curious. I live just around the Corner not far from this restaurant. It's a popular place for bikers.

I think that's a great idea. Should we start a separate thread for those willing to help out and what they can help with...technical, transportation, lodging, etc?

I'm in Martinsburg WV and can transport and provide lodging. 304-260-9263

This is a great idea! Lamont, you need to start a database for this!

I'm in Hot Springs, AR and have an enclosed trailer with ramp and will be ready to assist at any time. Have a spare room also. I can even assist with repairs in my shop.

Brian, you and Deb are welcome anytime!

Oops, I deleted my "funny" comment as I decided I shouldn't load this post with off topic things. Evidently didn't remove it fast enough. I do like the idea of having a sticky at the top of each state's forums listing those who are willing to help.

We're in the east San Francisco Bay Area and we have a trailer that could provide assistance. My cell # is 925.864.4930.

I probably wouldn't be too helpful because I dont have a trailer, but Id be more than willing to help out anyway I could. (food/lodging or just help locating places).

Im in Rockville MD (DC area)

Awesome idea.:2thumbs:

Maybe Lamonster could start a separate board, kind of like the dealers list, with name and contact info by state of those willing to help.:agree:

WOW......

Spyderlovers are getting supportive again...

Great Idea, I would be willing to assist in any way I can..

I'm in the helping mode all the time...

If you are ever in between Jacksonville and Gainesville FLorida areas and need help with your machines. Call me at 7707809084 (cell). I'll help any way I can, tools or a tow.

Some of the time I am in North Georgia in the Loganville area. Use this same number you never know I could be there too.

We met up with these people during the poker run in CA. BAM Breakdown & legal assistance for motorcycle riders 1-800-4-BIKERS. It is free no money is involved....

Helping database.

What a great idea...I am a former Goldwing rider, and the state by state (with City as well, as I recall) listing was very useful.

Hopefully, when LaMonster returns from Sturgis, he can think about how best to set this up. I have visions of a POI upload to my GPS .

Yet another great reason to be a Spyderlover...

I recently joined Trike Riders International. I am going to their rally in Branson MO on the 21st of Aug. From looking at the member photos it is mostly Goldwing Trikes, Harley Trikes and V8 or VW Trikes. They offer a lot of things like Hotel discounts, a trike training course aligned with MSF and a directory of dealer listings, state cycle laws, and a listing of members who are willing to help if you have a problem on the road, they mark it as shop and repair assistance, food and lodging, etc. This organization is also chartered with the AMA helping to raise awareness of trikes. They send out a bi-monthly magazine that I received my first copy of. It is well done and interesting. Even if I did not see any Spyders in the member photos they will see at Spyder at the rally and I will raise their awareness of Spyders. Their web site is http://www.trikes.org/index.htm
