• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with Ride-On in the Spyder tires. All comments appreciated.

Lots of previous posts about Ride-On here. Do a search and I'm sure you will find all the glowing testimony you need.

I'm sure these have been answered in the prior posts on Ride-On, but it never hurts to repeat for newcomers to the forum and new users of Ride-On.

Did you use the auto or motorcycle formula?

One post said 8 oz in front tires and 11 oz in rear. With fronts 165/65/14 and rear 225/50/15, that seems low when comparing to similar size auto tires. How much did you put in the front and rear?

Do you take off the dealer applied wheel weights and let the Ride-On balance the tire or leave the weights on?

I am new to this site, and I am not looking for a "glowing" testimony. I was just asking if anyone had tried it and what they thought about it. I have not used it yet, but am considering doing so.

I love it. I was able to take all the weight off of my rear (96 grams) and still got 13K on that tire with a little left if I wanted. It's great peace of mind not having to worry about flats.

Thanks a lot. You have convinced me. Going to put some to use this week. How much did you put in front and rear tires?

I was going to help out with a specific link but a search of 'ride-on' yielded 211 threads and I don't feel like wading through them to find the specific posts. As I recall, the general consensus from those that used Ride-On was that it worked just fine. They got peace of mind with the flat protection and they got a smoother ride with or without removing the wheel weights.

Thanks for your efforts.

A Very similar product here in the UK by the name of Ultra Seal
I use it. Was advised to keep on the existing wheel weights as the product 'fine tunes ' the minimal balance that most tyre fitters accept.
I balanced out the cost of the product against the inconvenience of a puncture and wheel removal especially of the rear wheel and re tentioning of the drive belt, no contest !!

Does it work ??? Dont know, not had a puncture that I know of !!!

:2thumbs:
