Reset fault codes

I am ready to sell my Spyder. Every time it throws fault code(s) it is back to dealer to reset them. I should be able to attempt to correct the problem and reset the codes myself. If my repair was not correct, the code(s) should reappear. Then I will take my Spyder to the dealer for repair. If any one feels the same way let me know, so I know I am not the only one who feels this way.

Are you fixing the problem that caused the code? I thought that the code only showed up if it was still "active". Otherwise it would be an "occurred" code and would only show up if you are hooked up to BUDS. So, I guess, what I am saying is if you fix the problem you shouldn't have any codes to clear.

Hard to say..!!

what codes are we talking about. Once you fix the problem and/or the computer resets (key walk..remove key walk away for a while and restart) they are no longer active and are stored. When hooked up to buds they will download. If the problem is not fixed they reappear. Some codes can be caused by more than one source. So l agree with Spyderann01....:thumbup:
