• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rerouting GPS

WoW I just looked at the pics after I posted them. It looks a lot better in person than in the pics. The flash made it look like it does not match very well but it does. :D

Did you use a gloss black.. or satin? I think your gonna need to do a road trip and make sure it works. Give me a call and I can back you up just in case you get lost. Always got your back buddy!

Very cool bro!
Love the anti-glare shield!

Looks like someting I may want to do.

I looked back through the posts, but didn't see the info. Would you mind posting links or part numbers to the shield? I have a ram-mount I think I can move, but that anti-glare shield has really caught my eye!

I have had it for a year but looked back on ebay history and found it again. Here's the link for The Hood.

GPS remount

For those who have moved their GPS, I noticed in one set of pics it looks like the wires were pulled through the front edge of the top dash by drilling a small whole.
On Lamonts, I don't see any wires. Did those come up through the top of the dash?

Also, is there enough existing wire from the standard mount (have the LTD model) to just pull up to the new top mount location?

Can you use the mount that came in the box with the LTD? There was several extra pieces of hardware in the box, one which was a ball mount with four mounting holes. Can this be used or are you better off using a mount with a single bolt going up through the center of the stud?

Yes, there is enough wire to relocate the GPS. You have to reroute it back out and up to the dash. Removing some parts so that you can remove the dash makes it much easier. I didn't drill a hole but removed dash and notched the plastic so wire could pass through. You will see how to once you get there. I would use the mount with four holes because the plastic is thin and one hole may not hold up to well. You can look back and see Lamont had given me a parts list. I purchased the chrome one but they have others that are cheaper. Good Luck if you proceed.
