• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacing Left Hand Switch Cluster - Help Needed

I purchased a 2018 Can Am Spyder RT SE6 used in October 2020 and last summer the left hand switch cluster started exhibiting the same issues as detailed in posts At time's the switch will not go into reverse or downshift. According to the dealer This is not a recall/warranty item. Even if I wanted to pay the cost for the dealer to replace this they are backlogged several weeks and riding weather is upon us.

I looked at the only video online showing how to replace the cluster. In this video he said you need to pull the pins from the connector to be able to get the cable though the bike.

I practiced removing the pins on the old switch but did NOT like the way the plastic was deformed in the process.

Two questions:

Has anyone successfully installed the new switch without having to pull the pins out of the connector? Is so, please share your genious!

Or... does anyone have some wisdom they can share on removing these pins without damaging the connector attached to $450 cluster!

Thanks for you help!!
