• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

REPLACING A BULB

I have a burned out bulb on the right front fender, the one on the front, It Is a RTS-SE5, 2013. What do you have to do to replace the bulb and should It be covered under warrenty since the :spyder:Is only 6mo. old?

If I recall correctly you need to remove the strip that runs over the top of the fender. I had mine off to install LED reflectors so I took the tire off, then reached up under the finder and removed the screws/bolts. The strip lifts off and you will see the wiring to the light bulb.

I do not beleive light bulbs are covered under the warranty but not absolutely certain.

bulb

The manual states that bulbs "are not " covered -maintenance item. At 6 mos. your dealer might replace it for you.
Good luck!

Since it's the new style fender the light is a LED. I would guess the US replacement cost would be $50.00 plus labour.

See if the dealer will fix under warranty.

Its not a light bulb or lamp, its an LED assembly and it IS covered by warranty. Take it to your dealer and have them order you one and replace it.

Or, you may wish to order it yourself at your own expense if you would rather not deal with the dealer service department.

Since it is a led I will take WAG and say the led is not burnt out. The the tech who put together your ride likely did not clipped together the fender harness correctly and the the connection has come apart over time.

UPDATE

I just called the dealer about the position light that Is out and he said they would take care of It. I'm going to the dealer within the next couple of months to get a laser alignment done before Spyder Fest, he said they would take care of the light then.:clap:
