Yup, I like the Yokos as well. :2thumbs: If I can get them that is what I would like to go with. I would like to have the same manufacturer for both the fronts and rear, which makes the Yokohama a good candidate. I'm going to go with size 185/60R-14 in front to keep my fenders on as well for now. That may change on the next set. Others have gone with Bridgestone Potenzas, Kuhmo and others and have had good luck with them.

Having said that, I am having an alignment issue and the dealer may want to replace the fronts with another set of Kenda's in order to be warranty compliant. I am going to ask them about this because I really don't like the Kenda's, but I don't want to void my warranty either by running tires that are not "recommended" by BRP. We'll see how this plays out...

I bought a Kumho Ecsta AST yesterday from tirerack.com for the rear. $82 shipped.

ETA: Tire came today. It would have taken me longer to find someplace local to buy from.

As much as I know the Dealerships Overprice everything.. I dont want to void my Warranty.. Because the Spyder seems to be a very expensive Animal to have Fixed should any problems occur.. Saw a post on here during a search that some dealer made Spyderwolf sign a waver to put different brand tires on his spyder saying that any damages related to non-BRP parts would not be covered under warranty..
So I will probably stick with the BRP Tires...
Thanks Guys for all your Knowledge.. When My Warranty Goes then I might look into other tires..

I know, I hear ya man. Like I said, I am definitely going to talk to my guys about this issue. I don't want to use the stupid stock tires again!! (now picture a kid having a temper tantrum) :roflblack: :roflblack: But will if I have to.

I am going in on Wednesday 3/09/2011 for the alignment check. I'm pretty sure they are going to have to replace the tires, the right one is toast IMO. I will let you guys know what happens...

Nice choice. You're going to like the little bite it has if you run into a little snow. I've put about 3-4 thousand miles on mine and it shows no sign of wear.

That where the dealer you choose is important since the dealer is your warranty. Mine put the non-OEM on without a waiver. But clearly not all dealers have the same policy. ASK powersports in Columbus (all three) will not put anything non-OEM on...period.
