JMHO:
a star washer (rather than a split pressure lockwasher) would be a better choice electrically as it would dig in.
I would think the loctite would keep things tight enough.

I think they use a stainless steel internal star washer.

Just had mine replaced under warranty. It came with a standard stainless lock washer. The boot had to be ordered seperately. And, as Scotty said, it took them awhile to find it under "luggage". Go figure.
