replaced the windshield bracket

and noticed that the windshield was scratched up by the oem bracket i never removed the windscreen since owning it in 2011,i don't know if removing it more often will prevent scratching any thoughts to prevent this if i replace it with a new one? i put on the chrome windsheild bracket on and the scratches really show up. is there some kind of product out there i can use to get rid of the scuff marks/scratches??

Scratched windshield

When you take the windshield off, put a piece of paper under the chrome brackets. This will help prevent scratches in the windshield. Have done this severaltimes without having scratches. Hopw this helps.:lecturef_smilie:

i didnt scratch the first one like i stated the windscreen was scratched when i removed it for the 1st time from the bracket i guess vibration and bumps got the most of it. oh its not the 2 chrome pcs on the outside it was on the inside i guess i should of clairified that.
