• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

replace the FM antenna with a shorty question

anybody know if & what shorty antenna is a direct replacement for the oem on a 2014 RT Limited ?

do you have a part number and supplier ?

do I merely unscrew the old and screw in the new ?

I currently cover my bike when not riding...getting a short antenna through the hole in the cover would be so much easier than the current long antenna...and I rarely listen to the radio

thanx

WalMart has a rubber "shorty" antenna that works just great. Around $10. It screws into the taps. A couple drops of blue locktite to help hold it in are recommended.

I used one when my original came off due to improper installation. It worked just fine and I still have it as a back up.

Just replaced mine with the Walmart rubber shorty. It's the Scosche RMA 900, comes with 6 adapters and is about 12" tall. Easy replacement. Also do what Akspyderman recommends re the locktite blue.
