• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want to download the service manual for my RT. I find two available on E-Bay, The Green Manual and the Tech Spark Studio.

Does anyone have any prior experience with either of these? Which is best or any other suggestions of one I should get.

Thanks!

I purchased the Green Manual Online for my RSS and burned it to a disc. I've used it several times with no issues at all. It's been very helpful and I haven't run into anything that I couldn't find. I would recommend it (for the RSSs anyway), especially for the price. I think it was around $20.

I downloaded mine from BRPManuals.com. $28.50 included Owners Manual, Service Manual and Flat Rate Manual. It is in pdf format so you can carry it on your tablet (I do) and/or print the pages you want.

Thanks

After looking at both the Green Manual and the BRPManual, looks like both of them are about the same. Guess I'll get the BRP just cause it BRP.

I wish it did have the wiring diagrams that would make a lot of projects easier. But I guess the only way to get those would be to spend the 180 and buy the book version.

I'm an electronics technician by trade so I can normally figure the electrical out, but yes the schematics always makes it alot easier.

Thanks for all the input, always better to make an informed decision.

FYI I have done a LOT of electronics and wiring work on my Spyder and other than once, have not needed the wiring diagram folds outs... They are not real detailed anyway. They show harnesses and not the wires within them.

The manuals from www.brpmanuals.com are the original BRP manuals in pdf format so you can put it onto your iPad ( i did).
you can also print individual pages. That way you do not get your paper manula dirty.
they are made from the original BRP digital files, not scans of someone else's manual and the price is right. $28.50 included the Owner's Manual, Service Manual and a flat rate manual so you can see if your mechanic is giving you the right information about how long it takes.

The pdf version I got from ebay for the 2013 includes the wiring diagrams for all models, and does show individual wires.

I'm not sure that is the case, really. I have the 2013 manual. The wiring diagrams are really good, but the parts diagrams are definitely not the original BRP digital copy. Very, very, low pixel resolution. I always go to BRP web site to see clear versions of the parts diagrams. As far as I can find there are no officially released digital versions of the BRP manuals available. I think they just are inclined to ignore the pirateers, or all these digital versions are coming from off-shore.

Buyer beware!

I ordered some digital manuals for my RT and my wife's ST (since upgraded to an RT) and they were a COMPILATION of info and not the actual shop manuals. It was marketed as a complete 2014 manual with add-ons. What I received was a 2013 RT/RTS manual with an addendum for the 2014 engine. Many emails exchanged and no real 2014 manual. I quit arguing as my time is worth more than the $28.50 I paid for each alleged manual.

below is part of the emails...

This is just a simple misunderstanding.
The 2014 spyder manual is the 2014 supplemental portions with the 2013 base manual, it is exactly as advertised. I simply combined the 2014 supplemental portions with the 2013 portions that BRP did not change to make it easier than using 2 manuals. If you buy the 150.00+ book from your local dealer you’ll have to buy 2, the 2013 & the 2014 supplement, then it won’t have half the information than the one you bought does. The 2014 had the all new larger engine, which the manual you bought fully covers.
The few watermarks that are in the manual do not block text, I take great care to ensure it.

This was marketed as a 2014 manual. NOT as a 2013 manual with additions.

Sorry, but I am unhappy with your marketing. Additionally, your watermarks throughout the manual block some of the pictures and text.

How do I go about getting a refund? I will use my refund to purchase an original manual from the dealer.

-Steve.
