There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. removing RH front foot peg frame

2008 GS SE5
trying to take off the magnesium (?) RH foot peg frame so I can get to the brake pedal.
The computerized shop manual shows a blow up if just 2 M8 screws holding it on; but they are missing.
I can't see how this is bolted on?
there are other bolts in the area attaching brake sensors and rear line to the rear brake.

any help out there?

Interesting..!!

there seem to be a lot of holes with nothing attached. As I see there are a couple of 10mm bolts one just above the brake sensor switch and one low by the peg just above the the muffler joint. Would take a picture but I have a heat shield blocking the view...

Dupe....

see other post....check for the 10mm bolts above the muffler joint and above the switch...

took off the 10 mm bolt above the muffler clamp. took off the 10mm bolt by the electric switch...not budging at all

as this was a gerry rigged mechanical hand brake/not dealer installed(they wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole in 2009 and still wouldn't in 2015)...I found a brilliant auto mechanic that found 2 mounting bolts under the foot peg, used a Honda 1100 clutch cable that I bought separately and had it replaced in 2 hours. then as home I put the tupperware back on.

most excellent
