Can the left side mirror be removed by itself... without first removing other tupperware?

I have a ferocious squeak  plastic-to-plastic I'd like to make go away :D .

Thanks for any tips.

The mirrors have to be removed before the rest of the tupperware comes off...so the answer is yes. That may not be the source of your squeek, though.

you can remove the mirror(s)

the real pain is putting them back on......

and, yes, if you note, the mirrors have some 'wiggle' in them so you may want to place some small foam padding between the mirror(s) and the body tupperware to stop them from jiggling around

but again, good luck putting it back one once you have taken it off.....:doorag:

If you are having trouble putting your mirrors back on, either your spring clips are bent, They are not completely seated, your technique needs adjustment, or a combination of these. If the mirrors wiggle substantially, I would suspect the spring clips. With the mirrors off, bend the wires to be straight and parallel. Lightly lubricate the latch posts and the mirrors should go on more easily and be very stable.

yes... I used your techniques mentioned above and checked the the two sets of clips - one was fine, the other was slightly bent on one side so I used a couple pairs of pliers and straightened the one clip and it made putting the mirror back on easier (that being a relative term...) but there is still a slight wiggle on the mirror

thank you for that information

I've taken the spring clips off the mirror to make this adjustment. It made it easier to straighten the wire. Simply remove the two screws holding the plastic/wire assembly to the mirror body.

Does it wiggle when you go down the road, or just when you move it? If it is OK going down the road, that is normal. All spring mounted quick-detach mirrors wiggle a bit if you move them.

I'm okay with the wiggle if it would just stay quiet!
I squeaks anytime I ride over a rough spot of any kind.
I can manually jiggle it while stopped and I get the
squeak. Guess I'll try the tip of a little foam packing first.
If that doesn't work... off it comes.

Wonder if it would hurt any thing to put a small
spray of silicone down in there?

Thanks to all for the tips... ;)

there is a little wiggle, and I think I will just put a small piece of foam to try and stabilize it
