• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I will never forget that day.. Brings a tear to my eyes to think of all the family who's lives changed forever.

during my work years as a electrician, i worked on and off in both buildings from 1972 to the month b4 they went down. i can remember on the day they fell, i was in a bagel store and the people were watching tv about it and i said, having worked down there the buildings will never fall because of the steel and concrete in them. right after i said that, the first building went down. i was in shock.
my sister was working down there,in another building that day and i called her b4 we lost phone service, she was about a block away and i told her to get away from the buildings because of the asbestos that would be in the air, and she told me she was heading uptown but she could see people jumping out of the building. we lost cell phone service right after that

I remember the exact time it happened. I was in the military then and was trying to get on base. The gates closed up, it took 3 hrs in what would normally take 10 min to get through. As I was waiting to get through the gate, 3 C-5's were landing. C-5's never land where I was stationed. When I got to the airfield the rest of the unit was loading out the AH-64's & UH-60's on to them. Never knew where we were going, but when the Army starts handing ammunition out and tells you to get on the plane, all the normal bitchin and moaning stopped real quick.

Hi M109Dreamer,

Re: I remember

I was on a United Airlines flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Los Angeles, CA. We were diverted to Tijuana, Mexico where we spent about 6-7 hrs before they got buses and moved us over the border into the US. Spent that night in a hotel in Los Angeles & the next day rented a car & drove to Beaverton, OR; not many cars on I-5 that day.
