• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Big Rock Candy Mountain by Marysvale on US 89. Yes this is the Big Rock Candy Mountain of song. The D & RGW used to have a rail line down here until 1983 when floods washed out the northern part of the line.Harry McClintock the author is said to have written the song after visiting the area in one of his hoboing excursions. Who knows?

Red Cliffs in the distance are over by Bryce. Remove the fence in the foreground and this view hasn't changed much in 200 years or more.

Parowan Gap

Parowan Gap is a Native American petroglyph site that is very significant. A little of the story and purpose of the petroglyphs is decoded by local Paiute leaders.

This was a great rally and we really enjoyed ourselves and the sights of South Western Ut. I have traveled here many times over the years yet still enjoy this area. I met more people this year then last year. I got to know Gene (Chupaca), Joe and Anne again.Jeff Dastrup was great to visit while working and he never missed a beat. I met many others One new friend from Hammond La who reminded me of the old Ponchartrain Beach ad jingle. I hadn't thought of that in 50 years and now its stuck in my head. I hope you all made it home safe and look forward to seeing you again soon.

You saw it 200 years ago?? :roflblack::roflblack:

If I would have had any idea Red Rocks won't be Red Rocks in 2018 I would have tried harder to get there. But two days there and two days back and a memorial service for my brother-in-law immediately before and the same guided rides as last year it just didn't get very high on the priority list.
