have you tried Jacksonville Powersports?

I don't know anything about them since I live in Melbourne but they did host the N E Region Chapter of FL C2C so.....

they have a nice looking store, but don't know anything about their service dept....

It's apparent my spyder will be tied up a bit because I have melted holes in my body work from heat / never had a problem till this trip / Crazy boiling gas n having to wait 20+ min to refuel at every stop to open the gas cap.. The gas fumes were sooooo bad the wifey got sick.. Will be taking it to Jax Powersports tomorrow.. Wish me luck.. Did I say I never had a heat issue,,,, TILL NOW

Anyone see this before ?? Lower left side above floorboard and it burnt my BMW riding pants w melted goo all over..

what year/model Spyder do you have?

I have seen some other threads on this forum regarding 'hot gas' - do a search of the main forum

I've heard lots about the hot gas / more interested in the melting body panels as a result of the heat.. I haven't read about that issue..

gaskets????

quite possibly the y pipe gasket is shot and pushing hot exhaust out in that location. or a cracked header pipe.

I would suspect a problem with the header; possible gasket leaking

It was a broken exhaust spring n cooked the gasket / Jacksonville Powersports took the plastic off an in stock unit and got me back on the road in a day and a half Very impressed w both BRP customer service and the over the road dealer network service
