• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recalls and updates and stuff

I found out that the Can-Am website that lets you enter in your VIN to see if there are any recalls for it is not totally up to date.

http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/owners/safety/safety-recalls-vin-lookup.html

I think they only list the really serious (safety?) recalls or something.

I ran my VIN through the BOSSWeb dealer deal and a "warranty campaign" popped up.

This might already be common knowledge but I thought I'd share it just in case. It would be very easy for someone to mistake the website checker coming back clean that their Spyder has no outstanding issues.

The dealer is supposed to notify you that certain warranty campaigns are available but not all dealers do this I suppose.

So have your dealer run your VIN every once in a while. (If you have your Spyder serviced this is part of the servicing routine.)

Anyways, YMMV of course!

A warranty campaign is not a recall.

There is a ton of useful info on BossWeb that many many users would love to have access to. This is a shortfal of BRP's information to users so I agree with you there.

But understand the difference between a recall and a TSB, TST, or warranty campaign.

Let's see..!!

I always recommend they run the vin# through the dealer. They can see much more as well as having the hook you up to the buds program for vehicle performance. especially if you do your own work. They sometimes have softwear updates you may need...
