• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rearview Camera

I have been researching rear view cameras for my toy hauler. It appears that Tadi Brothers and 4U Cam are the two best brands without going to the real high end models. Does anybody in Spyderland have experience with rear view camers and make some suggestions?

REAR VIEW

I have mine connected to the USB port under the back seat... it comes on when i start my SPYD3R, and stays on continuously until i shut her down...

the only thing i'd do differently is, get a bigger screen... this one is on 2.5" and i think a 4" would have been much better...
good luck in your endeavor, you'll find it to be very useful...

I like that. I had not thought about also installing one on my RTS.

I went shopping at "Rear View Safety" for my toyhauler. I don't remember what brand I am using but they seem to be a good site that deals with good quality products.

i used a cheap one on my rt, it was wireless, and worked great. the camera tied into the reverse lights, and the screen to a switched 12 volt power source. if you have the room, i would suggest a 7 inch screen. the 4 inch one is a little small

I would suggest talking with Lamont at Lamonster Garage, one of the forum sponsors, or should I say the forum owner/ Anyway, he is now carrying a great forward and rear system at a very good price.

Thanks for the replies. I finished research to and going to buy either a Tadi Brothers or 4U Cam. Bothe appear to be good systems.
