• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rear tire woes

Have any of you had problems with your rear tire in checking the pressure? Mine has a valve stem that points toward the belt drive, and if you want to check pressure it is quite difficult with having to reach through the belt drive to get to it. Also my compressor will not work for it becuase of this. I can add air to my front tires just fine. Any advice or solutions?

Yeah, some short sighted engineering on that note. My solution was to replace the tire chuck with a shorty head.

Instead of this:

Seriously though (Can't believe that I said that!); it's just about flexible enough that you can get a gauge or an air line to it with a teeny bit of creative cussing.:gaah:

Had the same problem. Put nitrogen in all three tires. Holds the pressure without having to check on a regular basis.

I have ride on sealant in my tires; would the nitrogen be incompatable? Where did you have the nitrogen inserted? At an auto tire place? How often do you check tires? If you had a leak on the road, would you be able to use the temporary sealants until bike could go into shop? Nitrogen sounds intriguing but have never had it before and don't know alot about it
Thanks!

Do not put extenders on this will only increase your clance of a leak the extra hose weight will flex the OEM stem and cause a failure and the extension is another seal point plus what are you going to tie it off to so it doesn't get caught in the sprocket ask any tire man and they will tell you they see many flats and problems from these

You want a right angle without the extra length or second seal point. Like these:

About $15 - $17 each. I'm putting some on next time the rear tire gets replaced.
