• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have only 8500 miles on my rear factory POS stock tires (Kenda ) . I want to replace with a better and longer lasting tire brand.
Any recommendations???
Thank you

see this is yur first post, so Welcome!!
do a search here for tires, you'll get enough reading to last you several days

OH MORE TIRES....

TIRES TIRES TIRES......
SPYD3R LOVERS is all about helping....
if you do a search on TIRES, rear tires for sure, you'll find a plethora of info....
back in '09, i put a KUMHO AST on the rear of my RS, and subsequently installed 2 more....
when i got my '15 F3, again a KUMHO... but after 24,000 miles of smiles on that, i decided to go to the MICHELIN HYDRO-EDGE which i find to be far superior to the KUMHO.... don't get me wrong, the KUMHO's are light-years ahead of the KENDA's, but the MICH beats it... there are countless tires you can replace the KENDA with, and don't be scared away from a 205 or 215 by 60 tire... my MICH is a 215-60 R15 and it is AWESOME....
LOOK HERE: https://simpletire.com
if you go to DISCOUNT TIRES, they will ask you what application you will be using the tire for, if you tell'm it for a SPYD3R, they may not sell it to you....
whatever you do, do it safely, and enjoy your riding....

That KUMHO ECSTA AST 225/50R15 looks like a direct replacement for my 2013 RSS. Thanks for the tip.

Welcome, I’m using a General Altimax RT43 in the 215/60R15 size.
I am also running the General Altimax RT43 Size: 215/60 R15 on the rear. I changed the (Kenda) @ 5,824 miles in 2015.

Also I have 16,176 miles on the General Altimax RT 43 rear tire. Also I still have plenty of tread left. This is my 3rd motorcycle season with the General Altimax.

@Deanna777 - I have the exact same bike and I am definately going to follow your lead, I have just under 15K on my machine so this is my first replacement. thanks!

Another vote for Kumho ECSTA AST 225/50R15 back there.

Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 (20lbs) up front has increased my fun factor by 3!

Old post Boy's:welcome:

This is ironic......MPotts has searched the forum and found info he needed and thanked the poster, and is told it is an old post. If MPotts had not searched for an old post he would have been told to go search the forum.... (this is not intended as any kind of criticism, Mikey....... I just found it funny )
