• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

On a previous Spyder (a 2014 RTS-SE6), I ran a General Altimax RT 43 on the rear. At the time of fitting, I had done 5,824 miles on the OEM rear tire. On the General Altimax RT 43 tire, I did 24,176 miles on it. I had good luck with that General Altimax RT 43 tire, and I know I posted the specs on it in one of my older threads. I installed the General Altimax RT 43 tire on the rear on 6/20/2015.

My current Spyder (a 2023 F3 LTD SS) still has the OEM tires fitted. I am thinking of fitting General Altimax tires when the OEM tires wear out. I might use General Altimax tires all around this time.

Loosing 1-2 % is not going to be noticed. I have a hard time understanding people that pay a Can Am dealer every 10K to put on a new Kenda rear tire. Even my main riding buddy does that. The first one I did myself paid for the wrenches, including a BIG torque wrench. I have done three on my trikes and one on an in-laws.
I don't trust anyone for tires, alignment, or much of anything else when it comes to my vehicles.
I have a rim clamp tire machine, a computer balancer, two lifts, and I use a Gyraline G2 and/or a string setup for alignments.
I also have a mill and lathe, Tig welder, and other shop equipment.
It's pretty rare that I can't fix it myself.

I'm impressed. Wish you lived next door!

I had the General Altimax on my 2013 on the rear when I got it, loved it. I hated the Kendas on the front, went with Vredesteins and realized a 100 percent improvement, especially in the rain.
When I got the 2014, it had Kendas all the way around, including a pos new one on the rear that just had come out. One ride, and I went with Vredesteins on all three. Again, 100 percent improvement!
I'm a believer in the Vredesteins! And the General Altimax!
