There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Rear passenger audio/radio volume and channel control

On my newly acquired 2012 RT the rear passenger radio volume and channel control does not seem to do anything like reducing the volume or changing the channel. I am referring to the rubber covered four button pad on the right.
Am I missing something here or is there a genuine fault

Thanks

It does not control volume brp says that would distract driver. It should how ever change channel with left right arrows

It does in fact change the volume for the passenger in the helmet headset. I was told by my dealer it did, so I tried it. Low and behold
it does as he said.

:agree:, it controls the passenger's volume in their helmet.

For those that don't have the passenger controls a punch in the kidneys works as well.

Volume controls on the rear work for wired helmets. The channel control works for pre-set radio stations or MP3 (iPod or iPhone) tunes.

HEY! She can listen to what I'm listening to! :gaah: (It's the ONLY control that I have left in my miserable existence! :opps:)

it will only work when being used with the wired com system...no headset no passenger control....

Wish I Had Known This Earlier

Great, I wish I had done a search on this board first, before taking my Spyder back to the shop last weekend, because the passenger grip UP and DOWN arrows didn't do anything! Of course, now I have to wonder why the dealership didn't know what those freakin' controls were for, either.

I'm not at all happy about this. Especially after getting stuck for $400 for the 600-mile service.

So the volume magically changing will distract the driver, but Seether suddenly changing to Barry Manilow won't distract a driver?
