• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2020 RT Ltd passenger audio control not lit - not working?

Hi
I just noticed that the passenger audio control was not lit when everything else was, then I tried using it and nothing happens?

Am I missing something? Is there a lock out somewhere as well as a way to keep it lit up?

TIA

Have you check to see if the wires are tight and plugged into the back of the switch?

Well, I know how to get to mine on a 2012, and I was just digging around on cheapcycles website to see what panel yours is in and I can find the switch but not location!! I have to start peeling side panels off till I get back to the hand bars in the rear, then it's pretty straight forward after that!! Sorry, but you'll have to get your feet wet and go slow, and in the end you will be a lot closer to your ride. Good luck!!!

Perhaps someone with a 2020 RTL could shed some light on this issue?

Is that control supposed to light up when the bike is running?

Manual says it will only work when the screen on the dash is set to audio, tried that and nothing.

Escorial, when I switch on the ignition (without starting), the rear controls on my 2021 RT-L do NOT light up, but they do control all speakers. Make sure you have your source set to radio, and your output set to speakers (not helmet). In other words, if your rider volume controls adjust your sound levels, then your passenger controls should also adjust your sound levels.(and I do not have my trunk on the bike currently….that does not appear to affect anything either).

Mine all light up with the exception of the passenger remote when I have switch on or motor running

The audio is set to fm radio and passenger switch does not work.

Thanks

OK, so if your front volume controls are working, it certainly sounds like your switch needs inspection in the first instance. I haven’t removed the passenger radio control switch, but the front switches pop out if you get a lever of some kind under them. I use a stiff plastic lever on top of a cloth.

I will leave for the dealer in the spring, my luck I would break something and void the warranty.

But now I have to think about it all winter! ;-)

Thanks
