• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear fender question.....again

I have a 13 rss and want to open up the back and let that nice tire breath. Thought about a fender trim ( dremel) and a plate relocation. But I have a few stipulations.
1. Not a lot of cash flow at this time, like to do it cheap
2. Like to make it easy.
3. I don't mind keeping some of the fender
4.would like to keep the belt guard
I'm not sure if there is a thread running around about what was done, how to,wire routing etc... I know this has been asked just sifting through threads is time consuming and some dead end. I have a two bros single exhaust so showing off the tire more would be nice. Links I click for fender eliminators bring me to universal ones. I would rather ask the pros. Any help would make me happy

BRP Stock one looks good

Have you looked at the Can Am Spyder RS Sport Rear Fender part #219400400 already?

Or none at all?

The Spyder poster on my fridge with Danica Patrick, has that fender. It looks great here...
(the pâté is on the side.)

If you have a look at how it attaches, perhaps you could fabricate one with some fibreglass and carbon fibre tape.

Half as short would mean a lot more water on your back, and if you leave off the goofy reflectors it really fits the look of the bike. Also includes a belt guard. They can be had from site sponsors for significantly less than retail, probably not 150 less, but still...

$243 is the lowest I found at a site sponsor.

Out of my range for now. Vacation coming up I would like something cheap. I appreciate the suggestions. I know some people have done it at home

Best option right here! Cost: FREE! Unless you want to buy a light for it which is less than $5. I just took the plate, stock bolts, pre drilles holes and bolted it in. The light which you can kind of see right above the plate I got on ebay as a pair for I believe $3 free shipping. Pulled the stock harness back and did a quick disconnect from that harness to the new light.

Drew I like that mod might have to try my hand at that over the winter.
5pys3r that is an option too. Sounds quick and easy. That really opens that tyre up

I made a quick mod with just a couple of small "L" brackets and a set of LED licence plate lights from Walmart. I just drilled a small hole through the inner fender liner and put a nut and bolt on it to the "L" bracket. I cut the connector off the fender and spliced it onto the licence plate lights so that it plugs into the factory harness. I think for everything it cost be around $15.00
