• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Cargo panniers/saddlebags won't stay locked?? Anyone else? 2020 F3T

Rear cargo

Steven, I tried that! Several times! It just won’t and the light is on telling me it’s open.
Let me know what you find out please!

Good morning, I'm not sure if you found the fix for your issue, but there is an excellent YouTube video that demonstrates how to fix that. It also deals with the warning light being on, even when the cargo compartment is actually locked. It's called The SmoaksVlog #2053 and #2054. I hope this information helps you. It was sent to me by a member of my Spyder Rider's Group.

Hi again! So watched the video, thanks again by the way, but my problem is the rear cargo saddlebags. I don’t have one of those that the video discusses therefore not the same hardware. Bummer!
I can’t believe no one else has had this problem! Lucky me…uuugh!
Thx again!

GoldenGirl, I'm sorry that my response did not help you fix your problem. If I see something else, I will be sure to let you know. Best of luck.

I had a similar problem on my 2018 F3-T. You may have already checked this but I found that the plastic divider that runs the length of saddlebag had slipped out of position. It needs to be in the slots at the front and rear of the bag for the case to close completely. Hope this helps.

On my rt which uses the same type of latch. I found that the return spring at the latch was on the wrong side of the release lever at the latch. had to remove latch and reinstalled spring on the cable side of latch. It would latch and then open going down the road.

I figured it out!!
I opened the cargo. Turned the key to lock. Pushed in the latch and they both locked (while open). I then closed it and it stayed locked! Yay! What it’s gonna do when I open again I don’t know! For now at least the light is off on dash. Thanks everyone that responded. Appreciate it!

Well, so much for that! I went over a speed bump, slowly I might add, and it popped open! Uuugh!
Still have not been able to lock it shut!

Since it's a 2020 F3 I would take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. Should be covered under warranty.
