Rear cargo hatch will not close

So I installed a rear cargo tail light from custom dynamics on my 2017 Spyder RT. All went well, works great, but after putting everything back together, the rear cargo hatch will not latch. I took the upper fender trim panel off again and it latches just fine, I put the panel back on and it will not close. I tried adjusting position a bit but it made no difference. Any suggestions?

you have to make sure the tabs all the way

What samewok said. I'll bet you don't have the tabs properly seated.

In the top center of the trunk is a tab that fits in a slot. Remove back panel, see if you managed to wad that tab up. If it is ok, make certain the tab is all the way in, and the painted piece is flush. If it still gives you fits, call me. Number below. Joe

thanks everyone, it was in fact the top center tab was not lined up properly. 5 minute fix and put it on right this time works great now.:clap:
