• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really needed to share this

It is a sad state of affairs that many folks in this country have no appreciation for for our VOLUNTEER service members - and veterans like myself - who have and continue to put their lives on the line for people like that a*****e woman, who, thanks to our service members, can actually stand in a fast food line. I'd like to see her try to do that in Syria or Iran. But, being a woman in those countries, the only rights she would have would be the right to be beaten every day by her husband or another male family member, or murdered for not wearing the proper clothing or showing the proper deference to a man. Freedom isn't free, but it's worth dying for.

My wife always asks about military and senior citizen discounts. Most times it's a no but a lot of times we get one. I was in a hamburger shop a few weeks ago and was checking out when the cashier asked if I was a vet. I had my Vietnam Vet hat on. I said yes and she said "then you get a 10% discount, and thank you for protecting me". Lowe's has a 10% discount in place for military/vets. North Carolina will also put veteran on your driver license if you have a valid DD214.

There are hundreds of businesses that give a military discount but don't advertise it. So it pays to ask. As far as the referenced article, I take it with a grain of salt.

Hi Patti,

Re: Because I've never heard of a conservative say something so stupid!

And I've never heard anyone that I would describe as a liberal say something so stupid.

I stand by my original thought.

Jerry Baumchen

PS) And I'm a veteran.

I'd like to drop the women that made the disgusting comment about the military off in Syria. Maybe then she would appreciate what the military does for her. Oh yeah she wouldn't last long before she was raped or killed. Problem solved.

Sweet!

Remember, only 7.3% of all Americans ever served in the military. Living, serving, vets, retirees. So, with over 90% not, you can see how someone could be ignorant of the facts. As little as our military gets paid, a discount is the least a business can do to show appreciation.
We do! If you have a valid military ID (active duty, guard, reserves, or, retired,) we give you 10%. We appreciate your sacrifice, and thank you for your service! HOOAH!

Whether the post is true or not, it is still a good message to send out. All military. police, firemen, and nurses whether man or woman deserve our thanks for a job most will not do.:thumbup:
