• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brisket and Pork Butt on the Traeger. Costco had Prime Brisket for $3.29 lb. and I could not help but bring it home. The Pork Butt was from last summer at my annual BBQ . The brisket was last week when the sun came out for a few days. Made me want some BBQ. I have always settled for Choice grade on my Brisket, but the Prime has ruined me now. I put the Brisket on at 5 am and by 2:30 she was melt in your mouth tender.

On the pork butt, how long and at what temp are you smoking those?

My wife makes her own rub and after she puts the rub on we wrap it in plastic wrap and let it get all happy in the fridge for 24hrs, then before she pulls the wrap off she injects the shoulder with Bourbon and apple juice. Then sets the Traeger at 220 for 3-4 hrs then turns it up to 250 for 6-8 hrs she keeps spraying the Butt with the Bourbon and juice and when the internal temp is 190 she pulls it out and lets it cool a while then we shred it . When we have our annual BBQ we have some of our club members that ride 100 mile to get some of the great pork goodness.
