• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really feeling stupid, here

I picked up my 2013 RT-S yesterday. Been too nasty to ride, but thought I'd take some time today to just sit on it and learn where everything is. But, for the life of me, I cannot find the operator's manual. Is there some super secret hiding place for it or did they not give me one? Where's it supposed to be?

It's in the front trunk. As stated on page 48 of your manual. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
Sorry could not resist!!!

Manual

Hi and Welcome to the Spyderhood!
There should have been an owner's manual with the paperwork from your dealer. If not, then if you go to BRP's website, you should be able to print one up. One word of advice....get ready for the myles, smyles, and of course the rock star treatment!!!:ohyea:

It is in the frunk at the rear in a plastic bag. It is stuck on with 3 velcro stickers, if you have a liner it is behind it. This is probably about as clear as mud.:roflblack:

Not sure..!!

On our 2012 RS they have it in a plastic pouch velcroed to the wall of the frunk.. Don't know if they do that on yours...

Thanks

I did not get it from the dealer, but I did get a wad of the usual paperwork other wise. I will look in the frunk tomorrow. Just a quick reply to the "rock star" comment, I already feel pretty "special". Had a heart attack exactly 3 months ago today and decided if I came out of that, I was going to fill my bucket list ASAP. Only had two things on the list - one of them being the Spyder. 50% mission accomplished! Now, if I can just find the manual...

Glad to hear you survived your heart attack, and are able to get back on your feet so soon. Age and health problems... there is nothing else that will remind one of their mortality. Best to get out and enjoy those things you have always wanted to; including your loved ones.

While you are waiting for the weather to break (which appears to a distance off this year); you can read your manual and check out the link in my signature for a few pieces of sage-advice offered from this site for new owners. There are likely to be a few tidbits that will be helpful.

Enjoy the ryde!

Wow! If finding the manual is the other 50%, you should aim higher! :roflblack:

:congrats: by the way!

When I bought my Spyder the salesman went crazy looking for it. He was gona print it out for me. Then another salesmen came n smacked him in the back of the head. He unzipped the liner in the frunk n wala. There it was on the bottom of the frunk inside the liner. Lol:yes:

Thanks for all the comments

Thanks to all.

Found it! Right in the frunk where it was supposed to be. They did a good job of hiding it.

Finding the manual was not the other 50%, although for the most part, it's pretty easy to keep this fat old man amused. Perhaps someday we'll all be in the same place and I can tell you about what the other 50% is all about, but for now, I'll just be happy when the weather clears up and I can ride the new Spyder!
