Stuck on '24 RT-L 10.25" Navigation applet screen - anyone else had this happen?

Finishing up a ride yesterday and low on fuel I thought I'd switch from the navigation screen (showing Google Maps) to the Gauges screen to see how many miles to empty it displayed. Nav screen wouldn't budge. No matter how many times I pressed the applet switcher button it wouldn't move. Once I stopped at the gas station, I tried to get some response via touch screen but no luck there either. The screen wasn't frozen, I was still able to follow my map progress, it just wouldn't let me scroll through the other applets. Finally, after shutting the Spyder off and re-fueling, everything returned to normal after I started it back up. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I'm hoping that it was just a one-time anomaly, but if it happens again, I suppose it will mean a trip to the dealership.

Only had mine since Aug, put a little over 6000 kms and nope that hasn’t happen yet….

Mine did that once on a short 10 mile ride. I was not using CarPlay yet. The screen flashed and it appeared to "reboot". Then it locked up showing me going 40 mph, in 4th gear. I was going 70 or so in 6 gear. I played with the buttons on left handle bar and nothing responded. It just seemed like the whole display was locked up. I got home, turned it off and on again, and it was working fine.
Later, I upgrade code so I could use CarPlay. I was just poking around on the display and selected Vehicle, Faults, and found I have fault code U0155 - Loss of Communication with Cluster. Took it to the dealer, who said they cleared the codes. Picked it up and noticed the display still showed the same fault, so the dealer then opened a ticket with BRP, who said they are working on that and will come out with a fix in new code soon. They said it is not hurting anything and I can just ignore the fault.

Got to love technology, and the glitches you'll have using it!! It's a computer on wheels, when in doubt, hard reboot!!! And !!

Yes, Spyder’s, same thing happened to me, took to dealer and BRP said to ignore the code on your dash display. Hopefully, they will fix it soon, hate having codes on my display.

I have my '24 S2S for 11 months and my ACP has never worked correctly (except a total of 4 days w/o a problem). Yes my screen occasionally has "froze" and won't respond to any touches or swipes and the map has locked as well. I also have had the U0155 code pop up. Some times rebooting the bike and the phone have helped, other times not. Hard to do when riding with a group on the Hwy! After many emails with many folks at BRP I'm now corresponding with Maraina, the Global Custom Relations Specialist at BRP. So far, after a month with her, no resolution, but they are "still analyzing my information". Maybe if all of the '24 owners having problems contact her, we might as a group get results?

Here it is, a year from the release of 2024 Spyders with the new style cluster into the wild... and we still have freezing issues with the damn cluster, poor connectivity to Apple phones, WIFI, and ACP that works only intermittently, along with non erasable codes and screen blackouts.. IIRC there has been at least 3 updates to the firmware/software and the issues still exist. AND this cluster is the same one on the other Can Am off road vehicles that all have the same issue....

Mebbe it's time for a group effort and NHTSA/legal action...

I have to admit that I haven't ridden my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky as much as I'd like too, but once I got Apple Carplay to work it's been fine.

The only caveat is that it does require a specific startup sequence.
1. turn the Spyder key to the On position, wait for the message, and roll the throttle forward.
2. turn on the SENA headset in my helmet - this causes a connection message to appear on the Spyder's display.
3. plug the iPhone into the USB connection in the glove box and unlock the iPhone.

The only time I've had it stop working was while riding on a hot, sunny day. My iPhone, which was mounted on the handlebars and is in an Otter Box Defender case, overheated and shut down. So now I ride with my iPhone stowed in a chest pocket of my riding jacket so that it's not in direct sunlight. It hasn't overheated with it in my jacket.

As for WIFI, I have a WIFI network at home. There's a WIFI access point in the middle of the house, which just barely reaches to the garage. The only problem I've had is that I usually park my Spyder on the right side of the garage, and my Honda Ridgeline truck on the left side. So the truck is between my Spyder and the WIFI access point, and it blocks the signal. So I have to back the truck out of the garage, and move the Spyder closer to the access point so it has a clearer signal. It works fine that way.

I bought a little WIFI extender. Little thing not any larger than pack of cigarettes. Plugs into a wall electrical plug in wall. Worked for me to extend my WIFI out to my shed. Just a thought for you, so you wouldn't need to move your pickup and Spyder.

My house has two bedrooms on one end, living/dining/kitchen in the middle, and then the master suite. The garage is next to the master suite. The main WIFI point is in one of the bedrooms, and I have a WIFI repeater/extender installed in the middle of the house between the kitchen and living room.
With the layout of the garage and the door into the house, my Ridgeline is parked between the WIFI access point and where I park my Spyder.
So it's a little bit about the distance to the access point, and a little bit about the big metal box between the Spyder and the access point.
