• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Somebody asked me about adjusting his RS's suspension to handle the load that it has to carry... (rider over 300 pounds...)
Since I'm on an RT; I didn't have a clue. :opps:
If somebody can tell about the procedure though; I'd be sure to pass it along... ;)

Same as the stock shocks on the RT. Adjust the positioning up to "5".
 
What..!!

Bob..with a dumb question..?? for that weight he should set all the shocks on #5. But if he carries a passenger he may have to move to a heavier shock..:thumbup:
 
Crank it up! The recommended settings are in the owner's manual, but my experience is that BRP is about one notch on the soft side of optimal...more if performance is your goal. I agree...#5 would be a good place to start. If more is needed, the aftermarket or RT shocks are the best answers. I'd also recommend a BajaRon swaybar for a heavy rider. That will let the shocks handle just the bumps, and not the body roll.
 
If I were to say that somebody rode an RS two up with over 600 lbs worth of rider and passenger in full gear... jack it up to 5, and just take it slow. :joke:

Thankfully, a LOT of that weight is all gone now. Spyder rides MUCH better. :doorag:

Yes. It can hold 440 lbs. of rider and luggage combined. Shock setting at #5.

The rear shock is adjustable on the 2008-2012 GS/RS....but it is a real bear to do. It is easy to break the adjuster on the early ones, too. The shock in the rear has seven adjusting positions, as I recall.
 
RE: Manual The owners manual can be downloaded off the BRP website. Hope you got lots of printer paper loaded if you want a paper copy. :roflblack::roflblack:
