• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

when installing the ecu after having it flash do you have to push in the release taps when you install the ecu?

No Just push the plugs in securely and push the latch lever over to the locked position. The small tabs on the side should just lock in place then put the screws back in. Ite easier to re install the it was to remove it. Let us know how it goes and how you like the flash. Did you get stage one or two?

correct side out

Before you mount the ECU make sure the correct side is out. Test a plug and confirm it will start into the ECU socket. The ECU mounts both ways and looks more correct the wrong side out.
Harness only fits when installed the correct side out.

Note that when your ECU is installed it will initially feel the same. The Spyder sensor inputs will start to give input data that the ECU will respond to to make mapping, timing and torque changes. I Have tested about 25 flashes for monster fuel and to me it seems to take about a tank and a half of gas to get the full benefits of the flash.
Enjoy.

I would suggest marking the "outside" with a dab of paint and taking a photo of it before you remove it. When I do something like that, I always take several photos of the process. Digital photos are free these days and my memory is not what it used to be.

I also took a piece of painters tape and put my name on it. I do not know their process and wanted to make sure I got the same one back. Take it off when you re install.
