• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

??? re: clutch recall

My dealer claims that the latest delay in getting my RT back to me (after 47 days in the shop) is that the clutch recall requires a special tool -- which of course they don't have and had to order. Anybody know anything about such a tool??? Personally, I think it's just more effluent from the south end of a northbound bull :D

My dealership had BRP come out and train all the sales, parts, and service staff on all the Spyder models. When they did my clutch work they only had to wait for the parts, less than two weeks, then had it done in 2 hours. This was done before the recall so I didn't have to wait on the backorder problem. But it was worth the wait, she runs better than she did when I took her from the showroom floor!

The tool is the same tool they use on the 4 wheelers to hold the basket. They should have that in stock. It would be easy to make one too.

The service guy at my dealer said that there was a special tool that he would have to order along with the parts. These guys don't have many Spyders out that they are taking care of and only 2 RTs that I know of, so they aren't high volume. After a couple of times knowing more than they do about the Spyder, they got the hint. Still waiting to hear when the parts and tool will be in.
