• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

re battery tender and jacket heat power...

I would like to attach the battery tender pigtail to the bike permanently. Is it OK to attach it the the terminals under the seat (not directly to battery)? How about the hookup for heated gear? Can the pigtails be hooked to the same place or will they be in the way and should be attached under the battery cover itself. Is there any computer problems that arise from disconnecting the battery?

Thanks
Larry

Don't connect to the NEG [jumper] Post under the seat, If you loosen it you'll be posting real soon on how do i tighten it back up. ON all my bikes i always go right to the battery with a pig tail. [fused]

So long as your heated gear is directly to the battery and has its own in line fuse, it has been ok for me for over 8 years now. The heated gear draws more current than the batter tender puts out so as long as the wiring is ok, not frayed or brittle go for it

Do a branch HOT "Y" dead ended into protected female plug ends. For bonding (grounding) find a good place for the installation of a new and sizable "New" ground wire. Use the largest multi copper available (meaning) wire size 10/3 strand or so. Wherever you attach the new ground make sure you have depainted any surface it will contact to make sure you get a solid ground. Do the ground in a branch as well. Then you're Free to plug or unplug at your desire. Just use a matching male end on whatever you'll be plugging in and keep the same color code so you don't reverse (plug the wrong wire) in.
