• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Weather was gorgeous here the past few days, so of course today I'm off and planned to take the RS on its' first 100 mile plus ride, soooo the skies are threatening and it's supposed to storm all afternoon. Oh well, next week. I'm just starting to get the hang of the three vs two wheeled experience, and it's just starting to get really fun, now if only work and the weather would cooperate!

We have the same problem here a lot. Sunny this AM, now clouding up for some rain. I will probably do some riding anyway.

It's only rain, unless you feel that you are going to melt ;)

Put the rain gear in the front and go enjoy!

Being from Wisconsin I guess you are not familiar with rain in Louisiana - after the first few drops it floods :roflblack:

If that happens I guess it's time to take out the boat...

Rats, Darn weather

This is only my 2nd post, I've had my new 2012 RT limited for one week and I'm loving it, just got back from a little over 75 miles of riding, weather is great here. Checked my mileage. I'm getting 37 miles per gallon att. I've only got 176 miles on the clock so far and keeping the rpms
at or below 4000, for the break in period. I'm itching to get through with the first 600 miles so I can see how it cruises, up on the interstate.

I found this weather factoid interesting. On Wednesday, a beautiful sunny day here in Las Vegas, the weatherman reported that the last time there was measurable rainfall on this day was May 9, 1977.

Soft people?

"There's no such thing as bad weather, Just soft people."

Uh-huh....Well Sir, this particular "soft person" remembers in '98, wanting to see my brother in Tucson and riding my HD RoadKing through 500 miles of rain to do so (after stopping the first night in Austin, saw the then TX Governor, later President, officially declare the '98 drought over.....Thanks, I noticed). In '02 after riding an Indian Chief with friends to see the Grand Canyon, this "soft person" needed to return to the fire house. Getting there on time necessitated riding through the remnants of Tropical Storm Fay, from just west of Houston, all the way past Baton Rouge. Or there was the time we caught hail in Wyoming returning from Sturgis, or the time we rode through torrential rain and street flooding around East Palm Beach, FL on the way to Key West (it was on this ride that I was dubbed Chief Blackcloud, due to my riding an Indian Chief and my friends claiming the skies would open every time I came along).
This experience does nothing to change the fact that it is far more pleasurable to ride when it is pleasant then when it is not, and at this point in my life, that is what I ride for....pleasure!

No problem man (not sir), actually pardon me if I sounded snippy, probably touched a nerve as at this point I'm probably getting softer everyday!

107[SUP]°F[/SUP] Observed High 12:45 pm ......... and it's only MAY. Wanna trade weather?

No......It's plenty hot enough here, that's just nuts.

I don't mind the rain; what I don't like is dealing with wet raingear... :gaah: Getting it dried out enough to put it back away is always a pain!

If I were to walk in the house leaving a trail of water behind me...
I've been caught in a few toad stranglers while out Spydering, and I've got to say that the bike does a pretty good job of shoveling the water away from and around you!
