• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

Not random, but a real thought for today... I listen to music from Pandora every day. Today, it quit working for some unknown reason. I went through all the trouble shooting procedures... Nothing! Then I went to the Pandora web site that's supposed to show any areas of outage. That page would not load!!! My thoughts are not printable here. UGGHHHH

Stuff happens. Satellite Radio has to have ground stations to beam the signals up and then the satellites have to beam it back down. A glitch in any part of the delivery system will knock out the signal until it is diagnosed and repaired. If they have not found the problem yet it won't be on an outage report. Nothing made by man is perfect and eventually it will all break down. It will probably be back up and running soon. Could be something to do with freezing temperatures all over most of the country. I have fiber optic internet which also supports my VOIP landline phone. About every 2 or 3 months they have announced outages or possible outages for about 8 hours. They try to do it in the very early mornings from midnight to about 06:00. It is just something they have to do to upgrade or replace equipment and update the software. I've got back up music on thumb drives when the fiber optic is out, or I just enjoy the silence. It is called silence, but there are sounds if you listen. Crickets, trains going through crossings 12 miles away, leaves rustling, sometimes this time of year a lonely hoot owl looking for love in all the wrongs trees.

Pandora problem resolved. But the cause of the problem remains a mystery. Not to get too long winded..... I rebooted my TV several times, checked that other apps were working, checked that I had internet service, uninstalled and reinstalled Pandora several times, checked for Pandora updates, nothing was fixing it. The app would come up but fail to log-in. I was able to get Pandora on my phone so I knew it was working. This morning just for giggles, I rebooted my modem despite the fact that everything (except Pandora) was working fine. And Pandora logged in as normal! I have no idea why a glitch like this could happen. I had internet service all along, the app for Pandora was up to date and correctly installed. It's like my internet service just forgot about Pandora until I kicked it in its posterior. One of life's little mysteries I guess.....

Random thought....... When you lose something, you ALWAYS find it in the last place you look.......
That is true. I couldn't find my rivet gun today. I looked for it all over the shop. Then when I was going in to get other tools I saw the rivet gun hanging on a nail over the work table. That was the last place I looked and there it was, so now I ain't looking for it no more.
