There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks... what makes it great animation is not the smooth art work, it is using about 6 or 7 animation magic tricks to fool the eyes into thinking they are actually seeing wheels spinning around and other apparent motion in only 7 frames of animation, and staying below the 1 MB image limit for the forum. It could be much better, but not when trying to stay in the 1MB limit. The total of the enlarged version (after clicking on it ) is only 71.6 KB... less than 3/4 of one MB.

It looks like it has a pretty small color palate. That helps a lot.

No colour palette at all, it was grey scaled and locked.
Removing all colours does reduce the foot print by a large number.
